Plays a role in postnatal myogenesis, may be involved in the regulation of satellite cells self-renewal (By similarity).

Tissue Location Expressed in kidney and skeletal muscle. Very low expression in brain and heart (PubMed:15555547). Strongly expressed in vascular cells such as umbilical vein endothelial cells, microvascular endothelial cells and aortic smooth muscle cells (PubMed:33154469)
